    What would be considered a "normal" length of time for these to occur? Is having them over an hour unusual?

    Hello Cynthia. I think that's something you should ask your doctor. Tachycardia isn't normal to begin with in a perfect world but I don't know what the norm is - if there is one - with people who have HCM.

    3 kids - ages 23, 21, & 19. All presently clear of HCM.

      Cynthia, Reenie is right. You really need some guidelines and reassurances from your doctor. You need to know how serious it is. It seems like it must be something new for you. That makes it "not normal" for you. Good luck, Linda
