    I was justing reading the posts about meds before dental cleanings. I just came from my dermatologist, and I have a strange piece of sking that needs to be removed. She wanted to wait in case I needed anti-botics. I'll be asking my Doctor, but the way the posts read, it sounded like just a dental problem---but maybe it isn't

    If you need the antibiotics, it is before ANY INVASIVE PROCEDURE...not just dental ones. I have them whenever I have had any operation, when I gave birth, etc. The idea is whenever any foreign bacteria might enter into your bloodstream, prophylactic antibiotics are called for.
