Lisa, You're right I will be a compassionate medical professional.

My professors and preceptors noticed my compassion right away in EMT school. While working in the hosptial if I wasn't taking vitals I was talking with the patients. I talked a lot to cardiac patients and calmed their fears. A nurse walked up to me and said you don't have to talk to "them", meaning the patients, all of the time. I got very upset and told her that sometimes talking to the patient is just as important as giving them medication.

I don't know exactly where my path will take me but I believe I am heading in the right direction. Who knows I'm still pretty young I might grow up to be a Dr. maybe even a cardiologist?

If my local cardiologist dr. Kim reads this post he might have an anurysm siting in his chair. He believes I should only work thirty hours a week and take it easy. He tells me I'm a handful and that he's getting grey hairs. Nice to know he cares

Something finally went right for me Hooray

I talked to my counselor at school and I'll be starting the nursing program in January!

Not quite as soon as I had hoped for but I'll take it! With this wonderful condition I had to slow down a bit. To some people like my cardiologist I am anything but slowed down. I'm probably going to give him a heart attack with all of the stuff I do (becoming an EMT and doing clinicals a week after surgery). After I got my ICD Dr. Maron said "if you feel like doing it do it!" So I am!
