A study reported in the 11/6/02 Journal of The American College of Cardiology follows 25 patients with heart failure. Those who trained their legs muscles with supervised low-intensity exercises lessened breathlessness. These findings indicate the importance of skeletal muscle in the breathing symptoms of heart failure.
