  • Hot Flashes!

Ever since I started these new blood pressure pills (candesartan) I have been having hot flashes. Does anyone know what would cause these? I have checked my heart during them and the pulse is ok. In the 90s. Any other reason? This just started with the pills.

        You lucky dog!
I am not sure what the cause could be - I would discuss it with your doctor - Are you on any other meds?

Iam on thyroid meds but have been for several years and I just had it checked. It was ok. The hot flashes are getting less now. Had a small one yesterday. I am pretty sure it is from this drug but have no idea why. Next week I see 3 cardiiologists including Dr. Shah so I will ask all of them about the problems I am having with this drug. This is the best heart drug I have taken so far and I don't like how i feel on it. It is tolerable tho. All the others were intolerable and put me to bed.
