Good morning! it is 6:30AM on Thursday Feb. 27 2003
I just finished an interview with WWGY in Albany - they had to reschedule me from last week so I did the interview this morning with Don Weeks.
Later today the Daily Record of Morristown NJ is coming to the HCMA office for photos to run with an article on a recent CDC report that indicated sudden deaths are up by 10% - HCM being one of the major reasons. I will advise you all when the article runs.
Take care all...and keep getting the word out about HCM!

Do you really think there's an increase in HCM related sudden deaths? If so, the next question would be why? Maybe people either don't know they have it and engage in activities they should avoid, or they just ignore the advice of doctors? What's your take on that?

Someone was awake in ALbany this morning! I just got this email

              "Dear Lisa Salberg,

I listened to your information on WGY (810 radio) this morning and was very
interested. I seem to have some of the symptoms but have never been
able to find out what the etiology has been. Now, my 15 year- old niece
has similar cardiac symptoms and I am concerned about her, since
              nothing has been diagnosed.
Thank you for your radio conversation and I wonder if abnormal
fatigue is also related to this condition.
              Sincerely,
              Nancy "
