Looks like you got a copy of your echo report!!
LV = left ventricle
RV = right ventricle
PW = posterior wall (back)
S = septum
s = systolic (when heart is contracting)
d = dyastolic (when heart is releasing)
AO ROOT= Aoritic root - base of the aorta
ASCENDING AO -part of the aorta that goes up, out of heart
AORTIC ARCH - the bend in the aorta
Aorta = the main artery of your body that carries blood from the heart to everywhere but your lungs.
I don't remember what IV stands for.
They basically measure the back wall, side wall, middle (septum) while the heart is in contraction and relaxation.
