The other night I rented a movie called John Q with Denzel Washington.
It's about a young boy, his son, about 9 years old.
One day while playing little league baseball he gets a hit and while rounding 1st base collapses and they rush him to the hospital.
The Cardiologist there tells his parents he has a condition where the Septal is enlarged with myopathy and that his heart is 3 times larger than normal.
They said his only hope was a heart transplant. I won't go on about what the result was or what happens next.
When he collapsed I thought no way.
Then when I heard the diagnosis, they said everthing except actually call it HCM.
Besides relating to the condition it was a pretty good movie.
Thumbs up!
