  • I don't understand what's going on

Okay, the holter monitor only showed pvc's. My cardio says she doesn't know what's causing my chest pain. I know that HCM'ers can experience unexplained chest pain, but I've also been having pvc's to the point of feeling like I'm going to pass out Is it possible that this could be happening without showing up on a monitor? I'm experiencing some of the old symptoms again (SOB, C/P, Palp, Dizzy); am I just being a hypochondriac?

    Any input is appreciated. Thanks

I would place "being a hypochondriac" at the bottom of your list of possible explanations for this. As you know, these are symptoms of HCM and of obstruction. Since your local cardiologist seems to find no explanation, I think you should call your surgeon and the cardiology team. You had the myectomy at Mayo's, didn't you? I'd bet they would want to hear from you as to what you're experiencing now!!!

    Do take care of yourself,

      Exactly right

      Dear Dolly,

I second Pat's motion. Please call the experts and see what they suggest. You should not be letting the local doctor's confusion stop you from getting to the bottom of your situation.

let us know how it goes,
