  • I love the new site ...

    This place is wonderful....but im so confused. This will take some getting use to..............
    I am scheduled to have my SEPTAL ALCOHOL ABLATION done Tues. Jan. 21st @ MUSC by Dr.Neilsen. Wish me luck.

    Good luck with the ablation. Who is doing it? Are you going to an HCM center?

      Connie - look under treatments there is a new link the says "see your septal reduction options" It is a really neat graphic that shows an ablation and a myectomy.

      Dx age 12 current age 46 and counting!
      lost: 5 family members to HCM (SCD, Stroke, CHF)
      Others diagnosed living with HCM (or gene +) include - daughter, niece, nephew, cousin, sister and many many friends!
      Therapy - ICD (implanted 97, 01, 04 and 11, medication
      Currently not obstructed
      Complications - unnecessary pacemaker and stroke (unrelated to each other)
