I received my AICD implant 3 weeks ago and LIFE couldn't be better. Everything is fine. Very little discomfort.
I lost my job after 9/11 ( I work in the hotel industry) and jobs are few and far between. I didn't think that this surgery would be a boost to my job hunting efforts. Well, since my surgery I have had 3 really good interviews. I even had to fly to Ventura for an interview. Getting through security was a treat but not a problem.
Today I make the decision as to where I want to live. Ventura, Maui or stay in San Francisco.Everybody should have such a choice to make. The winner is MAUI.
The Dr. that did my implant said he would come and do a checkup for free if I got him a deal on a room. No problem!
I urge anyone who might have HCM to take the steps necessary and deal with the situation. I'm glad that I did and so is my wife.
We are off to a new adventure and my thanks go to the Dr. who found my HCM.
It is the beginning of a whole new life in more ways then one.
