    Hello Lisa,

I am wanting to add a link from Travis' new web site to HCMA, I would like your permission to do so, also anythig you would sugest for infomation about HCM to be added to Travs site would be great ! The local paper wants to do a story on HCM, they are eager to help me educate people, of course using travis as an example. Also I have been haunted lately about an ER visit Travis and I made last Jan 23, He had chest pains so i brought him in, I had forgotten all about this in the fogg I was in. He had an ekg, and loads of blood work, they also did x-rays and a catscan of his chest and abdomin....Why wouldnt they have saw something if his hcm was advanced enough to kill him ? I m picking up those records today. I contacted the Medical Examiners office yesterday to check on the status of Travis' autopsy, it should be signed off on by a DR in a week or so, I am traveling the hour and a half to pick this up personaly. Somehow recieving this in the mail isnt sitting well with me. If you could give me a time to call the office I would appreciate this! Thanks in advance ! Blessings ~ Maura

    Dear Maura,

Your best bet is to talk to Lisa directly. I believe she is in on Tues and Thurs, so please call at 973-983-7429.

The one test you don't mention is an echo ---that would have shown the HCM. ECGs can be normal with HCMers.

    Take care,

    Sarah
