Impression:
1) Essentially normal mitral valve leaflet with normal excursion with mild to moderate mitral insufficiency manifested as a centrally directed jet.
2) Mild tricuspid insufficiency.
3) moderate left atrial enlargement with no left intra-atrial appendage thrombus seen.
4) normal right ventricular size and contractility.
5) concentric left ventricular hypertrophy. the ventricle was hypercontracted with evidence of intracavitary tracing that showed between 16 to 20 mmhg at rest.measured at mid-cavity level
6) no pericardial effusion seen.
7) normal appearing descending thoracic aorta and transverse arch as described.
left atrium measuring between 4.6 to 4.8 cm.
estimated pulminary heart pressures were between 28 to 32mmhg.
the aortic valve was tricuspid, exhibited normal excursion of all leaflets. ther was no aortic insufficiency.flow velocity was normal across the aortic valve. ther was no evidence of a left ventricular outflow tract. intracavitary tracing was recorded. tricuspid valve was structurally normal. there was mild to moderate tricuspid insufficiency.left ventricle was normal in size, was hypercontractile.

Dear Bobby,
If it lists measurements, it would be helpful to see those. They sometimes write the diagnosis right on the report, too. I would look for that.
I'm not a doctor, so even though I know alot about echos, I can't say "you have x."
I really think that seeing an HCM specialist is your best option, also b/c they can treat you even if it isn't HCM, but another form of cardiomyopathy. But you will get the correct treatment.
take care,
S
