i had another echo a couple of weeks ago because the doctors wanted to see if anything has changed. good news is that nothing has changed so far. i am now 6 months pregnant getting harder everyday i am still on bedrest tho. they are suppose to do another echo around 30 or so weeks to see if everything is the same. that is all that is new with me. happy thanksgiving.

would you share your story with me re your pregnacy. My daughter is 18 with HCM and I am concerned re: her future with motherhood. This is a situation we have not discussed with Dr's.

Dear Lori,
You can use the search function at the top of the message board to find all the pregnancy posts (and there are a few). Lots of women with HCM have kids successfully. The key is having great doctors who understand HCM and the potential trouble spots (ie epidurals). She should have an ob/gyn who specializes in high risk pregnancies who will coordinate with the cardiologist.
