    [Post-op Myectomy/Maze Procedure]

    Author: Howard Mirchin (---.proxy.aol.com)

    Dear Everyone:

It was great getting home last night and seeing my kids after my operation (Myectomy/Maze). The doctors and nursing staff at CCF were great and my road to recovery has begun. Post-op I did experience several short episodes of A-Fib that converted naturally but the docs said that was fairly common after surgery. I did not have sob, light headness during these epsiodes except for palpitations and sweating. I can't wait to enjoy the benefits of the operation and will continue to provide further updates.

Dear Howard, I am glad you are well into your post-op period and doing well. Just remember to keep moving, coughing and use your incentive spirometer. It is wonderful to feel the positive effects from having the surgery. Take care - Sue
