[Heart disease claims one more little boy]

This is not a posting of an HCM death...
A dear friend of mine has lost his 11 yr. old son. Brian was born with hyperplastic left heart syndrome - a very serious condition. He had 2 surgeries in his first year of life and had been doing well. He became ill and died rather suddenly this week and I am very sorry that I am in Chicago and unable to attend his funeral. I grew up with his dad and family and in fact they were my second family as a child... my heart is breaking for my dear friends. Please know that I love you all and I wish I could be there... I hope to see you all soon.

Lisa,
My neighbor had a little boy 4 yrs. ago that had HLHS. He lived 4 days even after having surgery in Michigan. She has since went on to have 2 healthy kids.
I will be thinking of and praying for your friends.
