    [Status of Robert Hartwell]

    Author: Kristi Hartwell (192.35.79.---)

    Date: 11-14-02 07:03

Bob asked me to post to this board for folks who may not have been able to check theStatus.com. Bob's myectomy surgery was Monday and all went well, no unexpected events. His operations took about 4 hours. He spent an extra day in the ICU due to a shortage of beds, but he is now in a regular room. He is feeling well (except for the usual aches and pains) and the nursing staff promises to have him up and walking around this afternoon.

I am being released from CCF on Saturday and should be home on Sunday. I met up with Howard Mirchin here at CCF and we had a good talk. It's funny but we are mirror images of each other. It is so nice to talk to someone where you don't have to start with the basics!

Howard is doing extremely well and has great support from family and friends. He is expecting to be released next wednesday.

    Dear Robert,

HOOOORAAAAAYYYYY. We looove it when people get to meet face to face --even if it is usually at the hospital.

Lisa and I met Terri and her daughter Madeline under pleasant circumstances here in Chicago at the AHA meeting.

Anyway, keep up the good recovery,

    Sarah
