    Dear Everyone:

My trip to Cleveland begins on Monday November 11 for pre-operative tests on Monday through Wednesday and surgery on Thursday November 14 (Myectomy/Maze?). If anyone is scheduled for a visit or surgery please look me up. I appreciate the support from everybody and will keep you updated on my progress via thestatus.com (last name - mirchin password - bottle-socks).

    Howie,

Just try and relax, the first part is easy. I'm still trying to get a new surgery date from CCF. My cold is just now going away and I will not make the monday date. CCF's weekend scheduling is not very efficient.

Good Luck and I hope to see you there.

Both of you will be in my thoughts as you move through your 'medical adventure' (as my husband and I started referring to the week or so I spent in Cleveland for my myectomy). Feel confident in knowing that you are in the best of hands and hospitals and take each day separately, especially through testing/doctor visits (the days can be long). My husband and I found a great deal of support even from other patients that we met at the hospital who were going through similar experiences of testing and recovery. Lisa is right, so much of this is 'mind of matter'; get up and move about as much as possible and try to incorporate even small bits of your regular 'routine' while in the hospital - you'll be feeling better than you have in a long time sooner than you can imagine!

    All the best!

    Lynn Stewart
