    hi everybody,

my name is barbara and I live in matawan nj. i recently read in our local paper about a girl Nicole who lost her life 3 days after graduating high school from a congenital heart defect that she was unaware of despite many medical clearances for sports participation. my husband has hocm. i have been to a few of the hcm events. i realize the need to increase the awareness of hcm. i always say i am going to this or that but i never do. nicole graduated right around the corner from my daughters school. while she did not have hcm, perhaps a closer cardiac screening could have saved her life. now, i am hitting the ground running to get the word out. the start of my mission will begin on friday March 27, 2015 with a rosary at my house at 7:30- all are welcome. if you are not catholic feel free to come at 8:00 - the rosary will be over by then and you will have an opportunity to connect - share - and support. lisa, i don't believe you are catholic but i hope that you can make it. i have a couple of hcma brochures that i will share. my address is 25 Indian Creek Road, Matawan. For those who cannot attend, feel free to send me your name and i can put it on our prayer list for the evening.
