I guess this was bound to happen. I could sense by his use of a fountain pen and pension for drab pink exam rooms that this was not a good match. That and the fact he never addressed some of my concerns (can we say water retention?). I had reservations my very first visit when I would mention a symptom and he would raise his hand as if to say - "not now". I do appreciate his helping me with my old insurance and getting my ICD installed with a clever little trick.
But alas, it was not to last. Apparently, he does not like me questioning his authority (I did think monthly visits were a bit extreme) considering how well I've done since surgery 4 months ago (I bike 10 mile a day - 20 on weekends).
His letter arrive via return receipt requested. He said it was "our lack of communication and my ability to follow direction". Frankly, I think he's found another patient. I've noticed he kept me waiting up to an 1/2 hour or more while he schmoozes with new patients - those presenting multiple issues with better insurance and a fat checkbook in their edemic swollen hands.
So this is what freedom feel like? I kinda like it!
