Happy Happy Birthday Lisa and Midge! I hope you both had an extremely wonderful day. Thank you both for all your help here on the board and Lisa you have accomplished great things in your past 40 years. Thanks so much for starting the HCMA and saving so many lives.
The knowledge we glean from this community makes all our lives better every day. I appreciate you and your work greatly.

Happy belated birthday, Lisa (and to you too Midge). This age thing - it's just a number (so what if it ends with a "0") - happens to the best of us. Or, as someone as alluded, you can just say you're now "thirty - ten"

Midge how could I forget we share the day... its no wonder we get along so well ...we Aug. 9th are an odd breed... and tough too!
Hope yours was a good one too!
Thanks to all of you for your kind words on my "milestone" b-day.
Lisa
Knowledge is power ... Stay informed!
YOU can make a difference - all you have to do is try!
Dx age 12 current age 46 and counting!
lost: 5 family members to HCM (SCD, Stroke, CHF)
Others diagnosed living with HCM (or gene +) include - daughter, niece, nephew, cousin, sister and many many friends!
Therapy - ICD (implanted 97, 01, 04 and 11, medication
Currently not obstructed
Complications - unnecessary pacemaker and stroke (unrelated to each other)
When I celebrated that "0" number, I just said to anyone wanting to know how old, "Just Twenty - again!" Just think, in two years, you'll celebrate being "Twenty-one - again." Now that I've hit that "Thirty - again" mark, I don't know if I'm ready for that "Forty - again" birthday. Might be great, but the body isn't cooperating.
I now know of three great people with that Aug. 9 birthday. So hope it was a great celebration to Lisa, Midge and my daughter (in-law. Dislike that "in-law," as she became our daughter upon marriage,) Alecia.

I am so sorry I missed out on posting on your birthday. Sorry I am late on wishing you a happy birthday. But the same good wishes and warm thoughts are there, even if I am late.
