Thought I would also share with you that we have just had a baby boy, Kai Jonathon Jackson Rogers, born 17 February, here in Melbourne, Australia, which will give him US, UK and Australian citizenships! 7 pounds 9 ounces and doing great.

It is a great feeling. I remember a doctor more than ten years ago when I was diagnosed telling me to consider not having kids because of my HCM. I look back at her comments as being so ignorant and wrong. Our new baby is health so far, as is his older sister. Sure, they may develop HCM, but they may also live full, long, and valuable lives and contribute enormously to society.
His birth has made me commit to getting an ICD in three weeks time. Can't afford not to be around.
