OK....lets see how many song titles we can find that relate to HCM. This is what I do at 3:00 AM when I can't sleep. Pathetic isn't it. Oh well, it amused me anyway.

Here are a few song titles I found - feel free to add to the list.

Descriptive -----"Achy Breaky Heart" - This may be the best of them all.

Transplant ---- "All of a Sudden My Heart Sings" - I'll bet this is true

Social --- "All dressed up with a broken heart" - I know this feeling

Descriptive ---"My heart reminds me" - Every day

To your Doctor ---- "Be Careful, It's my Heart" - To those cardiologists who don't know HCM

Commentary -- "My foolish heart" - I actually have more to say to my heart than this

Transplant ---- "I left my heart in San Francisco" - I guess it could be Los Angeles, Dallas, Boston or wherever

Descriptive --- "Crazy Heart" - Everyday it is

Personal - "Curse of an Aching Heart" - Ah yes, poor me.

To my Doctor --- "Don't go breakin my Heart" - Please Doc, change "breakin" to "fixin" and change "Don't" to "Do"

Descriptive - "Drifting Heart" - Kind of goes along with Crazy Heart above.

Medical - (re ICD's or pacemakers) - "Every heart should have one" - nuff said

Medical -- (when all your meds are working) --- "Happy Heart" - ah yes I like those days

Medical -- (a great HCM Doc) --- "Heart Mender" - Sounds like a few docs fit into this category

Transplant -- "Heart of Gold" - who cares what the color as long as it works.

Transplant ---"I left my heart at the Stage Door Canteen" - Now this is from a Broadway show,,,,and isn't it an interesting concept. I guess the guy or gal didn't have Insurance (not an uncommon situation these days)

Transplant ---"I sold my heart to the Junkman" - Is this a new concept in organ transplants?? I wondered how transplants were paid for. Now I know.

Commentary --- "My heart belongs to me" - you bet

Commentary -- "My heart has a mind of its own" - we all know how true this is.

Commentary -- "My hearts in the highlands" --- Well, I am not sure where it is, but some days I wish it were elsewhere.

Medical - - "Pain in My Heart" --- How true.

Descriptive - "Restless Heart" - I think some of these songwriters have HCM.

Medical - "Whose been listening to my heart" - Need I say more

Pacemaker or ICD - "You put the beat in my Heart" -- very descriptive

Descriptive - "Zing went the strings of my Heart" - Ok, I guess I can go with that feeling on some days.

OK....that's my list. I know we have some very creative folks out there, go for it.
