Geez,
My son Steven is six foot and about 270 pounds. He wanted to go out for the football team in High School as a lineman, but his knees let him down.
Anyway, he was on the bowling team from work and one of his team mates saw him up to bowl from behind and said he looked like a bear on the lane. Well, the nickname stuck. He’s been known to his friends as Bear for years now.
I'm sorry about your dog. It's hard to lose a friend after so many years.
We found our dog at the Humane Society 13 1/2 years ago. He is a cockapoo and also looked like a little Teddy Bear when we saw him.
The Humane Society had put out a call for blankets to be donated to them when the weather had turned cold. We donated our blankets and then made the mistake of going to look at the dogs. There was our little guy, out on the cold concrete, shaking, in a kennel. One look, and we were in trouble.
He is starting to show his age now, going deaf and his eyesight is bad. I know his time is coming soon, and am trying to prepare for it.
