  • Symptoms of Inner Peace

Be on the lookout for symptoms of inner peace. The hearts of a great many have already been exposed to inner peace and it is possible that people everywhere could come down with it in epidemic proportions. This could pose a serious threat to what has, up to now, been a fairly stable condition of conflict in the world.

Some signs and symptoms of inner peace:

    · A tendency to think and act spontaneously rather than on fears based on past experiences.

    · An unmistakable ability to enjoy each moment.

    · A loss of interest in judging other people.

    · A loss of interest in interpreting the actions of others.

    · A loss of interest in conflict.

    · A loss of the ability to worry. (This is a very serious symptom).

    · Frequent, overwhelming episodes of appreciation.

    · Contented feelings of connectedness with others and nature.

    · Frequent attacks of smiling.

    · An increasing tendency to let things happen rather than make them happen.

    · An increased susceptibility to the love extended by others as well as the uncontrollable urge to extend it.

      Re: Symptoms of Inner Peace

      I LOVE THIS POSTING!!

I just returned home from the "young ICD" meeting in Michigan and this was very much the topic of discussion!

I met some wonderful new friends - some with HCM some with other reasons for having ICD's. In fact I met someone I have been speaking to for several years - and did not know she would be there!

I also heard a wonderful speaker... Dr. Bowen White - WOW what a guy! He has worked with the 'real' Dr. Patch Adams (not the actor that played him in the movie of the same name). He spoke about his book "Being Normal is not Healthy". I am on chapter 2 and am loving every minute!

I have returned home from this meeting with a clear picture in my mind of MY future... and what I am going to do to be as abnormally 'normal' as I can to achieve what I want to in MY LIFE! Look out...cause you are all in this with me! Mark my words...the world will hear us and they WILL LISTEN - More people will get the care they should and families will LIVE their abnormally normal lives WITH HCM and have fun along the way!

LIVE, LAUGH and LOVE - and try not to forget to do each and every one of these things EVERYDAY!!!

      Best to all,
      Lisa

        Re: Symptoms of Inner Peace

        Lisa,
My dear friend, I guess you know that I have been living by those precepts for many years now – except I have always referred to them as, “Live, love, laugh and be merry.” I can tell you from my experience that it is a wonderful way to live. You encounter the same bumps in the road, but you find that coping with them is far, far easier, and you get to really enjoy the life the good Lord has given to each of us.

Welcome to our merry band. There is always room for anyone who wishes to join us, so come on in – and bring your friends.
        Burt

          Joyce, that was great.
If only everyone was inflicted with this aliment.
Every great thing that has ever happened since the beginning of time has started as a single thought in someones mind.
So if you are capable of thought then you are capable of great things
          Good luck and stay well.
          Glen
