The Station Agent was filmed in my home town of Rockaway NJ. Many of the filming sites are within walking distance to my home. The library used in the film is directly across the street from the HCMA office! You will hear in the movie they refer to many things being on Green Pond Rd - the HCMA's street address is 328 Green Pond Rd!

This is a film about relationships and how the most unlikely of people can form there own "family". Kinda like us!

If you get the DVD watch the deleted scenes, Sal our local pizza guy and all around nice guy (and supporter of the HCMA) was given a small part.

I highly recommend the film but do warn you it is a bit old fashion - nothing blows up, there are no naked people and nobody gets killed!

Enjoy the movie and let me know what you think.

I think Peter Dinklage was nominated for an Academy Award for that movie. Heard rave reviews about this movie

I rented The Station Agent a few weekends ago and enjoyed it very much. Patricia Clarkson is one of my favorite actors and i love her character on Six Feet Under as well. I must have been in a New Jersey frame of mind that weekend because i rented Garden State too. I'm real big into Indie flicks and thought Open Water and Saw were very well done. You'll enjoy Saw if you liked the movie Seven... i was surprised when watching the extras that it was basically filmed by a kid and his buddy. I love watching Hollywood get stomped by two guys and a rented camera.

I guess that concludes my movie reviews for the week! LoL.
