It is with deep sadness that I write this posting. Lisa Inman passed away a few hours ago after having suffered complications related to rare and unexpected response to proper and necessary medication. Lisa underwent a myectomy last week and did very well during and immediately following the procedure. She was taken off of the vent and was telling the nurses not to worry about her so much she was fine. Some routine blood work showed some problems and it appears that she had a rare reaction called thrombocytopenia, a blood clotting issue. She passed away within a few days.
Richard sent word via a doctor that he was very appreciative of all of your support and so was Lisa. He also wanted everyone to know that this procedure was and is a good treatment option for many unfortunately in the words of Lisa sister “nature bats last”.
I know you all join me in offering condolences to Richard and his family. The HCM community has lost a bright star however we gained one more angel on our team.
