  • God Bless Lisa Inman

It is with deep sadness that I write this posting. Lisa Inman passed away a few hours ago after having suffered complications related to rare and unexpected response to proper and necessary medication. Lisa underwent a myectomy last week and did very well during and immediately following the procedure. She was taken off of the vent and was telling the nurses not to worry about her so much she was fine. Some routine blood work showed some problems and it appears that she had a rare reaction called thrombocytopenia, a blood clotting issue. She passed away within a few days.

Richard sent word via a doctor that he was very appreciative of all of your support and so was Lisa. He also wanted everyone to know that this procedure was and is a good treatment option for many unfortunately in the words of Lisa sister “nature bats last”.

I know you all join me in offering condolences to Richard and his family. The HCM community has lost a bright star however we gained one more angel on our team.

Richard and all of Lisa's family and friends -

I'm so sorry to hear this news. We all join in offering our sincere sympathy and pray for strength and comfort for all as you move forward thru this most difficult time. Richard, I'm so glad you and Lisa's sister were able to be together and help one another at this time. Please let us know how you all are doing when you feel up to it. We know from Lisa's previous postings that her family has a very strong support system back home from family and friends, and for this, we are grateful.

Lisa Salberg - Thank you for all the strength and comfort you share with all of us. I know today is very difficult for you. We appreciate your sharing of this news with us in such a compassionate and timely way.

        I am speechless.

I would like to express my greatest sympathy and condolences to Lisa's husband, Richard, her family, and the rest of us, her HCMA family. We are blessed by having known Lisa and being inspired by her upbeat manner. I hope that her spirit will continue to inspire us in our struggle against this relentless disease and its complications.

I join everyone else in expressing my sincerest sympathy to all of Lisa Inman's family and friends. Although I did not know Lisa personally it has felt like I did. I sit here in shock as we all must be feeling the same sadness in losing a friend: Lisa whom we have grown to know and care for through this HCM family.

May Lisa rest in Peace with the Lord and may the Inman family be comforted and find peace in this time of great saddness and loss.

My most heartfelt condolences to Lisa's family. It is so hard to lose someone suddenly. I know Lisa will have let them know they are all welcome here if they ever need a shoulder.

I just did a little reading on thrombocytopenia and the drug-induced kind is very rare indeed.

              best wishes to her family,

              Sarah

I know this is hard for many of you - it is hard for me too. I am sure there will be many tears as people read this thread and remember Lisa Inman and her positive attitude and lovely smile.

I am sure we are all wondering WHY Lisa? Why Now? Why? I can only say that in the end we are all mortal and in the end only God knows why.

I take comfort in one thing...Lisa has now met Lori and I am sure they will watch over us all from today forward.

God please bless our dear friend. Rest in peace Lisa you will be missed, and never forgotten.

                      Richard,

So sorry to hear of Lisa’s passing. To you and your family we offer our sincerest sympathy.

Though we rarely get to meet each other (in person) on this message board, there is defiantly a family bond that few people understand. I never knew how strong that bond really is until today.

I have just spoken to Richard. He has not made plans yet for services, when he does I will post them on the board as I know many of you have already sent me PM's requesting the information.

Also if you are interested in sending a card to Richard email Kelly at [email protected] and she will email you his address. For obvious reasons I will not post his address on the message board.

                          Best to all,
