  • Headed to see Dr. Maron in Minneapolis

My wife and I will be heading to Minneapolis for a day full of appointments this Friday Feb. 27th (EKG, Echo, Stress Echo, & Cardiac MRI) followed by an office visit in the afternoon. Unfortunately, I was informed Dr. Maron would not be at the appointment as he herniated a disc in his back and had to have surgery himself. He will however, be reviewing all my test results and tele-conferencing in for my appointment. My local cardiologist has already recommended an ICD, and there was talk of a possible myectomy since being diagnosed in August after going to the hospital for a gall bladder attack. I'm really interested to see what Dr. Maron has to say.

Well, you're going to the top HCM researcher in the US. Never had a teleconference with a doctor before, but glad he's taking such an active roll. Keep us up to date!
    Diagnosed @ 48
Saw Dr. Michael Debakey @ age 5 - "He's fine, just a little noisy"
Father to 3 boys 22, 25, 29 (all currently clear - pending genetics)
AICD - Valentines Day '08, Spark Plug replaced 11/14
After much research, I had a Myectomy @ Mayo for my 50th Birthday '08
    Quietly going insane . . .

Well it was either that or get rescheduled to some time in May. I figured this was a better option.
