              Re: Husband admitted to cleveland

Thanks again to everyone for their support. Josh is doing great. He is out of the hospital and we've been staying at a hotel on campus for a couple of days just to be safe. We're flying home tomorrow. I've been truly amazed at how quickly he has bounced back! Apart from spiking a fever one night and requiring a second round of antibiotics, he has really done awesome. He's only taking one pain pill at night before bed and says he can feel a difference already in how well he can breathe. On the post-op echo, his obstruction was gone, gradient gone, and septum decreased from 26 to 16. Wow!

One word to those with upcoming myectomies... don't be discouraged if pain meds make you feel crazy. Keep asking for something different until you find one you can tolerate. Josh tried percocet and vicodin and couldn't handle either one. But thankfully, Ultram is working like a dream for him!

That's great to hear! I hated the pain meds too -- by the time I left the hospital, I was only taking Tylenol.
