    Dear Ken,

You have been through quite an awful ordeal over the past two years, but as another Northwestern myectomy alumni I know you are in excellent care at the hospital.

You fought very hard to figure out why you had so much pain in your chest, so keep that fight in you to conquer the leukemia.

    Be well, Janet

      Hi Ken,

You're right, if it's not one thing, it's another. Life sometimes seems to be just challenge after challenge.

May all go well for you and may you come out of this stronger than ever.

Re: If it aint one thing, it's another

After being in the cancer center at Northwestern Memorial for four weeks and recieving chemo, I feel GREAT. Went for a check up yesterday and ALL my blood counts are back to normal, which tells me, that the cancer could be gone after one round of induction chemo theropy. Next week, I'll have another bone byopsy to determine what the next step will be.

Other than living with HOCM and a AICD for the rest of my life, I'll be dealing with Luekemia. Is there anything else that we can be hit with?

At any rate, I'm leaving this weekend for vacation to go fishing, swimming, horse back riding and all those other fun things that life has to offer!!
