  • One year today (3-18) since Myectomy

    It's bee one year since my myectomy/double by-pass at CCF. I am doing very well. I am feeling better than I have in years.

    I have HCMA to thank for having a great deal to do with saving my life and with the wonderful quality of life I now have.

    Thanks Lisa and to all on this board. This association has saved many lives and helped improve many others quality of life.


    This may not be "PC" but I'm not "PC" God Bless you all!

    Husband has HCM.
    3 kids - ages 23, 21, & 19. All presently clear of HCM.

      Dx age 12 current age 46 and counting!
      lost: 5 family members to HCM (SCD, Stroke, CHF)
      Others diagnosed living with HCM (or gene +) include - daughter, niece, nephew, cousin, sister and many many friends!
      Therapy - ICD (implanted 97, 01, 04 and 11, medication
      Currently not obstructed
      Complications - unnecessary pacemaker and stroke (unrelated to each other)
