    Re: Off to Cleveland

    Ralph,
I hope all went well. I too have been to Hopkins and I think you made the right decision to go to Cleveland. Dr. Lever is great. I hope you are able to post soon. My prayers are with you.

      Any news from Ralph?

The last post Ralph made was when he was off to Cleveland for his myectomy. That was nearly two months ago now and I was hoping that someone has heard from him?

I have heard from Ralph - he is doing very well. He had a few bumps in the road the first few days but is doing VERY WELL now. He called me a few weeks ago - I think he said he was having trouble with his computer...I forgot to post an update - Sorry!

          Re: Off to Cleveland

That is great news about Ralph, hope he continues to do well and he can get his computer up and running soon, about me for a moment, i talked with the surgeon today that performed my surgery and he said the only thing he did was take the obstruction away that was causing the mitral valve problem it was hitting my aorta i told him that i wanted the myectomy but he said he didn't feel comfortable going all the way down the septum, he said i was thick all the way down but the echo didn't show that and neither did the TEE test and he said i was also thicker than either test showed, so i guess i won't be getting any better other than i do have blood back in my feet, i just wish the doc was more honest from the very beginning, i was so angry with him when i got off the phone, but i calmed down and made an appt with a Pulminary doctor for JUNE 10th to find out if my lungs were dammaged with having this surgery and if not i will be heading back to Dr. Gilligan my cardio doc , i hope everyone is doing great
