  • Impending Evaluation

Hi, I'm new to the message board. I've known about my hcm with obstruction for almost 5 yrs. Apparently the meds arn't working and this past week after my latest echo my cardiologist suggested that i go to the Mayo Clinic to see Dr. Nishimura for futher testing and consultation, in fact I have an appointment there in late March.
However, I live in Ohio approximately 2 Hrs from Cleaveland and Cleaveland Clinic is a PPO provider for me,insurance wise.
Is there any great difference in testing and or treatment at Mayo over CCF?Can the testing at Mayo be used at CCF?
I'm 51, My septum is 3.3cm. And I feel pretty good. Some shortness of breath and fatigue. I'm so thrilled to have found this web site, I've already learned so much. Thanks

Welcome to the site. Dr. Nishimura is excellent as it the rest of the team at Mayo. The CLeveland team is equally excellent and able to handle your needs. Discuss this with your doctor.

I am glad you found the HCMA and please let us know if we can assist you in any other way.
