  • Septal Myectomy at Tufts

Hi all. Longtime lurker, first time poster on here on this site. I've found this forum so incredibly helpful since I was diagnosed about four years ago, so thank you to everyone for your candor and thoughtfulness with your answers and responses.

With that said, I'm curious at to people's experiences undergoing the septal myectomy procedure at Tufts. I had it done myself three years ago, and it wasn't a particularly positive experience and I'm still left dealing with many of the consequences of it. I'm just wondering if anyone else has gone through something similar. Happy to talk offline as well.

(For anyone reading this trying to figure out if they should have this procedure done, please don't let this post dissuade you in any way. I have certainly seen some improvement in my day-to-day health and overall well-being. I wouldn't recommend that hospital for it but I've started to go to the HCM Clinic at Cleveland and they are AMAZING, as are so many other facilities, I'm sure.)

    Hi

The HCMA's policy is that if you have an issue with one of our centers of excellence as they cannot defend themselves, we prefer that you call the office to discuss. The office is staffed Monday through Thursday for the summer.

    Thank you for your understanding.
