    Connie,
what is the 30% - do you mean a 30mm gradient at provocation/stress?

I am thrilled you are feeling well and hope it stays that way FOR A LONG TIME!!!

    Be well,
    Lisa

    Connie,

It's good to hear good news. I just had an appointment at Johns Hopkins with Dr. Edward Kasper. After reviewing my history and records and an exam, (no echo etc.) he says the next step for me is alcohol ablation. I asked him about myectomy and he said in my case the AA was a step towards that. He said the ball was in my court and maybe waiting wouldn't be too bad, because they are improving with every procedure and the equipment keeps getting better also. He said it's up to me when I feel I'd like to improve my quality of life by having it done. They only do about 4 or 5 per year at JH but he said they are done quiet well. Has anyone here had a AA at Hopkins??

    Connie,

Glad you are feeling better. It is amazing just how dramatic a change can be made by removing the obstruction. I hope you continue to improve.

Congratulations Connie. I am so glad your ablation has gone so well and that I have also read of several others that have been a success. I am going to have one of these quite soon. There is a doctor near me at Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation that has done quite a few and I am waiting til the figure gets up there a bit more. Dr. Shah thought he was pretty good. Soon I am going to get an appt. and try and get some facts and figures out of him about his successes. I can't wait to feel better!

    Hi Linda....

Before the Septal Ablation, the PVC's were so bad I felt near to passing out with some of them, and they were several per hour. Now I go for whole days and not see one. And when I do have one its just a mild flutter and its gone. So Im not bothered by them. I cut out most all caffein and that helped a great deal.
I take it one day at a time....today I feel great!!!!
    You take care..............Connie

Connie, Thanks for sharing this great news. I'm so happy for you! You say you have flutters occais. How does this compare to frequency of flutters before the procedure? Do they bother you, or are you just aware of them? Stay well and enjoy your new life - Linda

    3 Month Ablation Check Up.

    Hi All........

Just a check in to share the results of my 3 month Septal Ablation check up with Dr.Neilsen @MUSC.
My echo, blood work, and stress test were all very good. I have no gradient at rest and only a 30% at work. And only a very slight bit of obstruction left. To date I am non symptomatic except for a flutter now and again.
Dr. Neilsen was very pleased with all the results. I am very please w/ the results. All I know is how I feel today.....and that is wonderful.

    Connie
