  • anyone taking rhythmal

I have recently worn a 30 day event monitor and I found out I was having atrial tachacardia. My EP doctor wants me to start on rhythmal - 150 mg 3 times a day. I hate starting new meds! I just started digoxin 6 months ago - it was supposed to help with atrial arrythmias.
My arrythmia's have gotten better, so I really don't want to start taking this. I am in end stage hcm (heart failure), so many of you all may not take the same kinds of drugs that I do.
    Thanks so much

I do know of a few people who have done very well on the drug. I hope it works well for you too!

    Best wishes,
    Lisa

I just started Rythmol today. I went into afib for the third time around 10:30 this morning, and the doctor got me in for a cardioversion at 3:30 this afternoon. Everything went great. So, I went to dinner at Chili's tonight with a friend and my heart went BACK INTO AFIB! Only 5 hours later! So, I took my first dose of Rythmol, and nothing has happened yet. I hope it gets it back into rhythm by Monday, because that's when I'm gonna have my fourth cardioversion in two months. Crappy! I feel like ****. Also said that if drugs don't work for the afib, I may be a candidate for an ablation.
