    Does anyone know about the safety of taking the herb Gotu Kola with HCM?

    Sorry, I've never heard of it.


    Husband has HCM.
    3 kids - ages 23, 21, & 19. All presently clear of HCM.

      You need to be ultra super careful about taking herbs with HCM.

      Gotu kola can act as a diuretic, which reduces your water retention and can leave you dehydrated (very bad for HCM). It is also a vasodilator, which can lower your blood pressure (also probably not what you need).


      There is a PDR for Herbs and google.com is always useful.
