Has anyone ever been put on the Beta Blocker Innopran XL. My doctor recently gave me some to try out. I am taking 120mg once a day. At times it seems to work O.K. however I still have daily "cloudy head" or "semi-dizzy spells" and shortness of breath. Although I can still eventually fall asleep at night my heart feels like it is having a little party (takes awhile to relax) when I am trying to get to sleep. I was previously on Atenolo, 100mg once a day, and that seem to work O.K. for a couple of years. However, after I recently passed out they decided the Atenolo wasn't working as well as they would like and made the switch to Innopran XL. My concern is that I felt better before I passed out. Although I would get a dizzy-spell or shortness of breath now and then; now it is a daily occurrence a few times a day.

I used to be on propranolol a long time ago, I'm now on metoprolol (Toprol XL). I think that the dizziness and light-headedness goes along with being on any beta blocker. So, you'll have your dizziness if you're on InnoPran XL (propranolol), Toprol XL (metoprolol) or Tenormin (atenolol).

Yeah, I am slowing realizing that. My Cardio now has me on Toprol XL. It seems to control my BP and pulse a little better, but the dizziness is still there. Thanks for the reply!Pace Bene,
Matt
