Mexiletine
Hi Burt
Thank you so much for that info, I have learned more from that link than I knew after taking it for two years. And I thought I wasn't sleeping because of the begin of the change or something now it all makes sence, anyhow I'm too young for the other, that must be the answer, I just discontinued it two nights, And I have never slept better. Honestly Thanks for the INFO. KNOWLEDGE IS DEFINATLEY POWER!!!!! TinaI am new to this site, Have had HCM for a while my septum grew from 14cm in 1998 to 27cm in Jan. 2003. Had a defiblerator dual pacer put in March 2003. Sometimes I feel like I still have the symtoms especially during menstration.

Hi Tina,
Listen cutie – Come here often? Actually this place is close to salvation when it comes to us HCM’ers. We all learn from each other, and this is home base.
Any time you have a question and can’t get a satisfactory answer from your doctor, any time you want to know what other people have experienced with a particular drug or treatment, or any time you have just had enough and need a friendly ear in which to vent – well, you come right here and you’ll get all the help we have to offer.
Actually I’m writing this to thank you for your kind words to me. I like helping people when I can, and it’s always good to know that my efforts have not been wasted.

Burt.
I do not believe anything you offer us is ever wasted. You have a zany sense of humor that is greatly appreciated, life wisdom that only comes with years of experience, and a kind, gentle spirit that shines through all your posts. I once heard a guy say, "whenever possible go to school on someone else's dime." In other words learn whatever you can from those who have gone before you.
Pour it on my friend. I enjoy you and learn from you.

When you were not posting, didn't you notice how many people were asking about you? We all learn from your experiences . And your humor is something else. Sometimes we need that when we are down.
We know we can depend on you for both. Keep up the good work!
P.S. I'm sure you realize if we can be of assistance to you, just call.
Take care and thank you for your knowledge.Esther

Leon and Esther,
You guys make me blush – and I need the blood more in other parts of my body.
Esther, you wrote, “P.S. I'm sure you realize if we can be of assistance to you, just call.” - - - You don’t happen to have a spare million or two laying around do you?
You know, old people have a lot of knowledge that they try to pass on to the younger generations, but so often the message is misunderstood. For example, you will hear cardiologists talking about the peak to peak measurements of heartbeats, but how often do you hear that the center point between peaks is called a boo? I’ll bet not one in a hundred knows that, - and yet you often hear a grandparent saying to a young child – peak a boo, peak a boo!
“Zany sense of humor,” ayyy?
