    You need to talk to your dentist. You meds may cover you but they may not.

    Please call and check - with your track record my dear I would not want to risk anything

    May depend on the nature of the antibiotics you are taking now. Amox. is known to be a 'general' acting antibiotic, other antibiotics may be more specific acting and thus less useful as preventive measure.

    Check with your GP or dentist whether your current antibiotic has broad enough coverage to serve as preventive measure. Also ask whether you can take 'm both!

    Pre-medication Question

    If i have a dentist appointment, and i'm already taking an antibiotic for another reason... do i still pre-medicate prior to the appointment (2000mg amoxicillin) in order to get the extra prophylaxis, or is the antibiotic that's already in my system enough?
