    Re: Norpace

drugstore.com has 100mg CR and regular capsules as well as thee 150s.

your pharmacy should special order them for you since they do exist. i've never had a pharmacy tell me they wouldn't order something and i also took norpace in a variety of doses and formulas for about ten years without any trouble.

    good luck!

      Re: Norpace

Norpace CR has been taken off the market in Canada & there are no supplies of it available at any drugstore or wholesaler.
Rythmodan LR, made by Aventis or Hoechst Marion Roussel, is currently being prescribed, at least in the Greater Toronto Area, as a substitute.
It is available in 250mg tablets. The only problem for Norpace CR users is that those people on 600mg daily, (300mg bid.), will now only be able to take 500mg daily (250mg bid.).

        Re: Norpace

Why is Norpace off market in Canada? Is there a problem with the drug or a just a naming issue?

I live east side Toronto, and can still get Norpace CR 150

          Re: Norpace

I don't know why it's off the market. This was a drug manufacturer decision, not a regulartory decision. I understand that it is still being produced by Bioniche for the US market. I do know that patients have been calling Dr. Wigle because they can't find it anymore & that he is prescribing the generic Rhythmodan to replace it.
