    Re: A question about Bextra.

    Good Morning Pam,
I looked around and couldn’t find any precautions concerning Bextra and the heart. Here is what it does say.

    Who should not take BEXTRA?
BEXTRA is not for everyone. Prescription BEXTRA should not be taken if you've had allergic reactions to certain drugs called sulfonamides, to aspirin, or to other arthritis medicines, or if you've had aspirin-sensitive asthma. BEXTRA is not recommended if you have advanced kidney disease.

BEXTRA should not be taken in late pregnancy. Tell your doctor if you have kidney, liver, or fluid-retention problems. In rare cases, serious stomach problems such as bleeding can occur without warning. Serious skin reactions can also occur. If you think you are having an allergic reaction, or if you have other severe or unusual symptoms while taking BEXTRA, call your doctor or other healthcare professional immediately.
You can read all about it yourself at; http://www.bextra.com/

Looks like you just might get some relief. Good luck.
    Burt

    A question about Bextra.

I was put on this med yesterday for my severe burning pain in hands , feet, spine and joints and muscles. I will be seeing a rheumatologist in June to get to the bottom of this increasingly unbearable problem. It used to be a flare up sort of thing and now over the last several months has been continuous and debilitating. Has anyone been on Bextra for similar problems , any problems with it in conjunction with HCM? My pcp believes it will not give as much conflict as the motrins I have used in the past that conflicted with fluid retention causing problems with my CHF. Any help /suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance . Pam
