    Benadryl and Atenelol

    Hi, I am quite the worrier when it comes to mixing meds(or taking meds period), and am wondering if there is anything I should be concerned about with taking Benadryl while taking Atenelol. My Dr told me to use it because I have a hard time sleeping and night time allergy symptoms(although no comfirmed allergies).

    Or would I be better off just taking a Gravol or some OTC sleeping aid. My mom takes Gravol when she can't sleep.

    Pam,

    I think that Benedryl is OK with most HCM meds, although I do not know specifically about Atenolol. Be sure that it is just Benedryl, however, as sometimes it is combined with stimulants, which are not safe. I use the offbrands whenever I have allergy problems at night.

      2 benadryl will put you to sleep nicely and stop your runny nose. i take benadryl and atenolol together all the time. no troubles.
