    Re: Sotolol

I have heard of some NOT being hospitalized when starting - but the majority are inpatient.

    Re: Sotolol

I have been on Sotolol since last July. It was no big deal as I was already in the hospital. It has worked very well for me until last week when I had a break through episode of a-fib. So now they upped the dose. So far so good.

    I wish you the best.

    Peace,

    Leon

    Re: Sotolol

yes, sotolol must be started in the hospital (or "in hosptial" as they would say in england).

i've done it ---not a big deal. with the really strong anti-arrhythmics, there is a teeny, tiny chance it will make you worse so they monitor you the whole time and reverse the medication if they have to.

i didn't have any problems at all and it worked well.

    take care,

    S

I was reading something that said when you initially take Sotolol, you are in a hospital setting so they can monitor you ...via EKG, etc.?? is anyone taking this and is this correct?
