  • My cousin's daughter has WPW and needs surgery.

This child is 9 years old and has WPW. She's known she has a problem since infancy, but "her ekgs are changing very dramatically and because she still has episodes of svt and other conditions she has reached a point now that she is going to need some help. Her heart was beating at 43 bpm at the appointment and that makes the doctor very nervous." This is a quote from my cousin's email to me. She said that they will do surgery on the 16th or 17th, I'm not sure which. Please say a prayer for this little girl. She's the same age as my own son and I can't imagine what they're going through.

~edited to add~ This child has also had syncope episodes twice in the last 6 months. She really does need help.

Thanks, Linda. I've had a lot to worry about, that's true. I'm hoping my trip home will help some. By the way, you and I still need to 'sit down' and talk some day.
