  • Doctor reccomendation please

My husband has an appointment with a Dr. Lever at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio in September but I was wondering how I can find a specialist here in Jacksonville Florida?

Lisa do you know of any? It would be much easier (obviously) to stay in the state but we do want the best care possible.

    Thank you,

    Re: Doctor reccomendation please

    Hi Angela,

Just a couple of quick points in passing.

I think it would be best if you asked Lisa for referrals and/or specific advice by Instant Message, email, or over the phone rather than on an open forum. Sure, many of us bare our souls to all the friends we have made at this site, but some communications are still best done in private. To recommend one doctor over another on an open board might put her in the unfortunate position of slighting another perfectly fine doctor who doesn’t deserve it.

Another course you might also pursue would be to contact Dr. Lever’s office and find out if he has worked successfully in conjunction with a cardiologist in your area. If the two doctors have worked comfortably together in the past, it might be more advantages to take advantage of that relationship rather that trying to build a new one from scratch.

I do hope you don’t mind my throwing in my two cents.

Thanks for the heads up and advice which makes sense. I will contact Lisa directly and find out through Dr. Lever's office also.

By the way, wanted to thank you for your kind words of encouragement the other day, they really helped. Experience means a lot and I'm starting to realize this is not the death sentence I thought it was.

      Thanks again,
