Can you tell me where to look for a specialist in my area. We have a number of cardiologists in this town, but not sure who would be best to see. I would be willing to go to a larger city also. I live in West Michigan. I am hoping to find a provider to take my daughter to, with her recent test results, which were ok, but I would feel much better having them reviewed with someone who is familiar with this disease.
Please call the HCMA office on Thursday. Lisa is in the office between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Eastern time. The number is 973-983-7429. She should be able to help you locate a specialist.

I am so furious right now with my husbands doctor. He went for the appointment and the physician (general practitioner) said it isn't necessary for him to have anything other than an echo??? He told my husband he has "lots of patients with this condition, or family history", and it only requires an echo if that, being he has not had any problems thus far.
I just called the office to tell them, he needed the other two components, and hopefully they won't give us a hard time about scheduling them.
See..this is the quality of care in this area, which is ridiculous.
