  • Krista & Tyler's PC Check-ups.

    Hello,

Its been awhile since I've posted. School is keeping me very busy.

I just wanted to post an update on my kids. They both have just been seen by their PC (6 month checks).

At Tyler's last visit in April, Dr. increased his propronolol to 80mg a day. Yesterday's echo showed improvement in all measurements!! YEAH!

Krista had an artificial mitral valve put in at age 6 3/4 years old. She is now 12. She is just shy of 5 feet tall. Her measurements have increased slightly and ejection velocity has gone up slightly. The surgeon told us that if Krista got 5' 3" tall, the valve would need to be replaced. I'm hoping that she doesn't get that tall, but she is only 12 and almost 5 feet. Anyway, she is doing alright. Dr. increased her propronolol to 100 mg a day. Hopefully in April when we go back her measurements will have stayed the same or decreased too.

That's it for now. Take care everyone.

    Tyler surgery: 1/98 myectomy

Thanks for the update. I'm glad that Tyler's measurements are better than before. And who knows how tall Krista will get. My daughter is almost 12 and she's alreay 5'2", but her friend is 14 and is barely 5' tall. All of them are different. I hope they continue to do so well.
