    Hi everyone this is Elizabeth (Michael Phillips) mother I just wanted to let you know that Michael went back into the hospital yesterday morning his blood pressure was 80/38 called the cardiologist he said to take Michael to the ER I did the cardiologist meet us their and they did an echo their was 4cc of fluid in back of his heart and more on the right side also their was some in front of the heart on monday they performed an echo and their was oinly 1cc and that was in back of his heart so they are watching him very closely in the hospital they are not sure what they are going to doabout the fliud right at this time.

    Dear Liz,

    Prayers are heading your way for all of you. I can only imagine how frightening this is after my own experience with fluid build-up. A couple of months after my myectomy I encountered fluid build-up around the heart and required emergency surgery to perform a pericardial window to drain it. Please keep us posted on his progress and the doctors decisions as you have time.

        Dx age 12 current age 46 and counting!
        lost: 5 family members to HCM (SCD, Stroke, CHF)
        Others diagnosed living with HCM (or gene +) include - daughter, niece, nephew, cousin, sister and many many friends!
        Therapy - ICD (implanted 97, 01, 04 and 11, medication
        Currently not obstructed
        Complications - unnecessary pacemaker and stroke (unrelated to each other)

          3 kids - ages 23, 21, & 19. All presently clear of HCM.
