  • A little fun from my Family to yours...

OK - We have a family crisis of sorts. I told my niece I was going to do this and she and said "yeh right"..
    SO Jennifer...he we go.

Jennifer my niece (age 18) got a new puppy - he is a golden/tan Retriever. He is 8 weeks old and as cute as can be. Here is the problem...she has had him for 2 weeks and can not find a name!
I thought you all could add your 2 cents in and offer some ideas...
This is what she is looking for:
    1. NOHTING common.
    2. Nothing Too cutesie
    3. Something her boyfriend likes
    4. She wants him to be a swimmer - so water names are good.

    Off to Adams Birthday Party!

    Later all!
    Lisa

How about Seralago! Me and my roommate went down this street one day and we both said pretty much in unison that it would be a great name for a dog. It is Spanish and Lago means lake. I think!

    Hey just my two cents

      How about Cruseau?

That's a hard one. Good luck.

        Reenie -

Did you mean Cousteau like Jaques Cousteau?

I sort of like Jaques myself. What about Clifford (the big red dog) for a golden? (you can tell what I watch on tv lately!)

Cyn, I meant Cruseau like Robinson Cruseau. But Jacques Cousteau would certainly work too.

Ok, these aren't water related but for some reason I like 'Maurice' or 'Montoya' (as in 'Inigo Montoya' like the character from the movie "Princess Bride"...) - I have no idea why I like these but they're not very common...at least not around my neck of the woods!

              Lisa,

Didn't you previously say you were Norwegian? I grew up with a beautiful St. Bernard whose name was Trofast (sounds like true-fast) which I believe is Norwegian for "True friend". My grandparents were off-the-boat Norwegians which is where we got the name. His nickname was Trufy.

Lisa, How's this I'll give it a try . Arcquadia; a combination of Arcadia , meaning a place of peace and contentment and Aqua you know water. Or I just like Montgomery sort of popped into my head . Good luck in the search. Pam

                  Hi Lisa,

I have always wanted to name a dog Schatzie (pronounced shotzee). It is German and is a term of endearment. It sorta means sweetheart or a loved one. I have to admit I finally gave up and named my cat Schatzie, (just can't keep a dog where I am) but I think it is a great name and not common at all.

That last Larry post was Linda again. I'm just calling the dog Gus, and not Gus-Gus, which my daughter already told me I can't do, because she likes Gus-Gus but not Gus. Women!!! Besides, I don't want people to think that I stutter.
